Francisco de Vitoria University

In EVANG, we can say with great pride and satisfaction that we count with the support of one of the most prestigious universities in Spain, the "Francisco de Vitoria University".  Pablo Ahijado, currently the Volunteer and Project Coordinator at EVANG, attended classes at this school for five years, and after returning from his first experience in Ghana, found in this institution all the help he and all of us at EVANG needed to flourish and become the organization we are today. So for their extreme generosity we are truly grateful.
If you wish to learn more about Francisco de Vitoria, please be sure to visit their website at www.ufv.es.  ¡GRACIAS UFV!

"The organization PARENTS AND TEACHERS AGAINST VIOLENCE IN EDUCATION takes the position that children should no longer be excluded from the legal protections against assault and battery that apply to adults. Moreover, the defense of children should be more vigorous because they are more vulnerable; because the consequences of their early mistreatment are difficult to reverse; because damaged children tend to grow into damaged adults who are likely to avenge themselves in one way or another. If they will not harm others, then they will likely harm themselves, and they may passively support the mistreatment of children perpetrated by others. Current research in the field of child development overwhelmingly confirms the theory that the earlier and the worse the mistreatment of children, the worse the outcome.

We believe that the information we offer to professionals in the healthcare and educational fields and to parents and other childcare providers by means of our Web site and printed literature can lead the way to a healthier and more peaceful society governed by the principles of nonviolence-based interactions for all."

Hope For Ghana

Imagen
Hope for Ghana is a charitable effort established in 2011 whose mission is to create opportunity through education for the children of Ghana. It is said that one’s journey to Africa will never be one’s last. A pediatrician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I will soon embark on my 15th trip home to Ghana, over 25 years since my first trip as a medical student. For me it has been a journey that has redefined my own path in life.
Hope for Ghana is invested in enhancing the lives of the children in the rural villages of Ghana and bringing them new ways of learning. This vision began at Ryvanz-Mia Orphanage, home to 28 beautiful orphans in Kpando, a small village in the Volta region of Ghana. Through generous charitable contributions my vision culminated in the creation of a learning center that today provides a library, a home for reading and studying, and a computer lab for these children. Today Hope for Ghana stands ready to build the next learning center in a nearby village in the Volta Region that will serve as a library and eventually a computer lab to children who are hungry to learn, yet who do not have the adequate books and resources for their education and development.
Hope for Ghana’s mission is to provide educational tools never before available to these children, tools that will provide them the opportunity for a brighter future. Please join me as we change the way these children learn forever. The possibilities are boundless.

With much gratitude,

Steve Greene, MD
